- Strong safety-first culture throughout the organisation
- Innovative safety initiatives and programs
- Effective driver training and management
- Consideration of environmental impact
Any fleet-operating organisation in one or more of the three vehicle categories. Judges will look for evidence of systems, culture, and results—not just policies on paper.

Most Improved Truck Stop
A facility that made significant, measurable improvements in the past 12-18 months to enhance driver safety, comfort, and well-being. It focuses on tangible upgrades such as improved security, better rest facilities, enhanced amenities, safety features, or sustainable practices.
Truck stops, rest stops, and driver service facilities
What we’re looking for: Before-and-after evidence of improvements, not just existing good facilities. This is about demonstrable progress and investment in driver welfare.

Fleet Innovation Award
Organisations that create and deliver innovative products, technologies, or services that help OTHER businesses improve their fleet safety, sustainability, or operational efficiency. This is for the innovators and suppliers, not the end-users.
Product/service providers, technology companies, solution suppliers (not fleet operators). Examples include telematics providers, safety technology developers, sustainable fuel suppliers, fleet management software companies, training solution providers.

Sustainability Leadership
An organisation that leads the industry in environmental sustainability while maintaining exceptional safety standards. Entrants must demonstrate concrete actions to reduce environmental impact (emissions, fuel consumption, waste) alongside proven safety performance. This is about doing both—sustainability AND safety—not one or the other.
Any fleet-operating organisation (across all vehicle types). Their key focus areas encompass carbon footprint reduction, alternative fuels/electric vehicles, sustainable fleet practices, measurable environmental improvements without compromising safety.

Most Improved Organisation Award
Clear evidence of transformation including dramatic reductions in incidents, implementation of new safety systems, culture change, or other substantial progress from a previous baseline.
Judges will review all entries across all categories and select one organisation that demonstrates the most significant measurable improvement in safety performance over the past 12-18 months.

Aspiring Fleet Manager Award
Fresh approaches, enthusiasm, potential for industry leadership, and strong fundamentals even if they do not yet have the track record of more experienced managers.
Judges will identify an emerging talent from the Best Fleet Manager entries. This will be someone who shows exceptional promise, innovative thinking, and dedication despite perhaps being early in their fleet management career.
